Custom ABS-plastics

Postby mynavyboxer » Thu Aug 28, 2008 11:06 pm

This is sort of a duplicate post but i wanted to get the moderators attention as well as the members!!!!

I met a guy the other day near my work and got his info and he told me of some local riders and invited me to come ride.

The cool thing is the guy I met Rich is a co-owner of a company that makes cowls for bikes. He makes cowls for common and rare bikes... He has made Katana, Ninja, CBR and others. Each solo cowl is custom manufactured from thick ABS plastic, the same material used to make the factory fairings. He also makes huggers and anything else you can think of. He has a custom shop where they are hookin shit up. If you will google cowltech.com you will see that he has posted on some of the other bike sites and has some youtube videos and is getting his business rolling. I would like to have him test out some plastics on my Cat but before he does we need to know if there are people who would be interested. It seems this guy has got his stuff together and is looking to make some stuff for bikes like ours that aren't as easy to get stuff for. We talked for awhile at the shop and he mentioned making Decals, stickers, undertails, fairings & tail sections if there is a market for it.

A group buy would be the ideal way to get this rolling so I need some initial commitments by some of you guys to get this rolling so shoot me a..I'd buy one if ur down and go ahead and go to his site.

What I would like to do is get the moderator(s) to give Rich permission to post on the site and market his stuff. If this is gonna be okay let me know!

His site is:

ImageSitting is not a sport.Unfortunately, most people who buy sportbikes do just that. They hit the starter button gently release the clutch and sit their asses off.Theres nothing wrong with these people they just bought the wrong bike.A sportbike is not designed to be sat on,it's designed to be hung off, moved around on constantly manipulated beneath the rider.A self propelled platform upon which a sport takes place.

I wouldnt touch that with a ten foot stick after reading through the gs forum. Ebay is probably your best bet to buy it because you get all the ebay buyer protection, and I would never pay more than $50 for a cowl, just doesnt seem worth it...
