bar heights/cable lengths.

Im thinking about fighterizing my 94, the main reason apart from liking the naked look is a better seating position, just wondering how far up and/or back i can go without needing to get extended cables, the one i see being the biggest problem is the clutch cable.

I don't have an exact measurement, but you don't want too much slack and too much tension always on (any cable). You may want to play with your height to see if you need to find custom cables or if you can work with the given amount in the stock cables. When ridding the bike, you can feel if you have too much or too little slack/tension.

I can't tell you how high you can go but I have both the Genmar Risers and the Lewis Fabrication standard riser bars so I am about 1.5 inches higher than stock. I have had no issues with cables but I think much more than that and you will need custom cables.

Thanks, i was going to go mx bars but found some 1.5" riser clip ons with adjustable bars so i will try those, hopefully its enough, this is just an in between bike after writing off my R1 so dont want to spend too much on it.

If you do go with the dirty bars I only had to extend my electrical controls by about 5 inches. And I needed new brake lines about 5 inches linger as well
