tach reading 8k

Postby emilio67 » Sat Feb 08, 2014 8:39 pm

I converted my 1998 thundercat into a streetfighter and trying to find how to solve my problem with my tach reading 8k. I am quite happy to do without the fuel sender unit and the dash indicator light all together but does anyone know how to stop the tach reading 8k, i.e. by pass it. I tried adding resistors to the circuit but that does not seem to work.

Would appreciate some ideas?

I'm sure you already have but just to cover all the bases, have you checked the fuel light bulb in your instrument cluster? Having a blown bulb will give this error code.

Right. You will probably have to add a resistor where the bulb wired into the stock harness.
Wait; didn't you already have a thread about this? :dunno
