Lockhart Phillips Stands

I also own a Lockhart-Phillips (LP) rear stand that I've used for a few years. It's the kind with the spring-loaded support pads that works on non-spooled swingarms. While adequate, it is nowhere near as confidence-inspiring as the Pit Bull. When I bought my SV650 track bike and used this stand I found it to be a pain in the ass because the SV's brake hose would always interfere with the stand's right side support pad. A switch to a spool-type stand cured that problem. - cyclenerd

I use the LP's. They do the job no problem. - Omie

I have the Lockhart Phillips stand myself. I havent had a bit of trouble from it. A friend of mine has a pit bull stand. They are put together better, but your gonna pay a bit more. - KrazyKarl

I also have the LP stand. I wanted the Pit Bull but my local shop was practically giving the LP stands away, not to mention the fact that I'm a cheap bastard. I use it all the time and I have no complaints. - nohenrys
